Talent Management
Talent management is the set of processes for attracting, developing, retaining and deploying the talent an organisation needs.
[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.
Hiring, performance management, development programmes, succession planning and career paths are all parts of talent management. The employer brand strengthens the "attract" end; internal communication strengthens "develop and retain": visible career opportunities, development programmes and success stories let employees see their future in the company.
Why it matters
Without communication, employees stay unaware of opportunities and look for growth elsewhere. Communicating internal opportunities lowers external hiring cost and raises engagement.
Communication topics
- Career paths and internal job communication
- Development programme launches and alumni stories
- Transparent explanation of the performance cycle
- Talent programme ambassadors
