Employee Experience (EX)
Employee experience (EX) is the sum of every interaction, environment and emotion a person has with an organisation from candidacy to exit.
[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.
The employee-side counterpart of customer experience (CX). Physical environment, technology, processes, the relationship with the manager, communication and culture together form the experience. The employer brand is the promise of that experience; internal communication narrates and shapes it.
Why it matters
Experience is the main driver of engagement and retention. Employees with a good experience are more productive, stay longer and talk about the company voluntarily, validating the employer brand from the inside.
How it is designed
- Identify the moments that matter with an employee journey map
- Design the target experience and communication for each moment
- Improve continuously with pulse surveys and feedback
