Internal Strategy Communication
Internal strategy communication explains a company’s goals, and the choices it makes to reach them, in a way employees can relate to their own work.
Announcing an annual goal does not, on its own, explain which decision employees should make differently the next day. Strategy communication links the goal to teams’ priorities, responsibilities and the results they track.
If a company makes delivery reliability its priority, for example, the accuracy of the date promised to the customer comes to the fore for the sales team, and getting prepared orders out on time for the warehouse team. Work through these examples with managers in advance. In team meetings, look together for an answer to the question “What will we do differently this month because of this priority?”
