Manager Communication Toolkit
A manager communication toolkit is the set of talking points, examples and supporting materials prepared so that managers can pass a topic on to their teams and answer questions.
When a change is announced, teams ask their managers how it will affect their own work. A toolkit provides consistent information across the organisation while leaving room for managers to use examples suited to their own team.
A toolkit for a new performance cycle might include a short meeting outline, a sample objective, key dates and frequently asked questions. Flag the topics that have not yet been decided. Also state where managers should send questions they cannot answer in the meeting and when they will bring the answer back to their team.
