Cascade Communication

In short

Cascade communication passes an important message step by step from senior leadership through managers to all employees.

[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.

Messages such as a strategy change, restructuring or new values are not delivered by email alone; each manager passes the message to their own team in the team's language. Cascade ensures understanding and answers questions where they arise, supported by talking points and an FAQ set.

Why it matters

Employees trust their direct manager most. Without cascade, announcements remain "a text from above"; the same message from a manager becomes personal and actionable.

In practice

  • Leadership briefing → manager briefing → team meetings, within 48-72 hours
  • Talking points, deck and FAQ
  • Collecting feedback (questions, concerns)
  • Measuring completion and understanding
