Asynchronous Communication

In short

Asynchronous communication is information exchange that does not require the sender and the receiver to be online or in the same place at the same time.

Teams can review and respond to a project note, a recorded presentation or a question in a shared document during their own working hours. For this to work, the context of the message, the contribution expected and the response time must be clear from the outset.

When asking two teams in different time zones to review a draft, for example, share the current version of the document, the point to be decided and the deadline for comments. When the decision is made, add the outcome to the same record. Agree separately on which channel to use for urgent matters.
