HR Policy Communication
HR policy communication is the communication work that tells employees who can use an HR policy or programme, when and how.
When a leave policy, a training budget or a choice of benefits is announced, employees first try to understand their own situation. The explanation runs from the purpose of the policy to the steps employees will take.
For a new training allowance, for example, show the eligibility criteria, the application deadline and who approves requests in one place. Walk through one employee’s application as an example. Review the questions HR receives in the first week. If the same question keeps coming up, rewrite that step in the guide.
