Employer Review Platforms

In short

Employer review platforms are sites where current and former employees rate and review companies anonymously (Glassdoor, Kununu, Indeed, LinkedIn reviews); candidates research there.

[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.

Most candidates read reviews before applying and avoid low-rated companies. When platforms are unmanaged, the angriest leavers write the story; when managed, the balanced voice of current employees, replies and a current employer profile stand out.

Reviews are where the EVP is validated or contradicted from outside. Recurring negative themes (management, pay, workload) are free research data for internal communication and HR.

Management principles

  • Profile ownership and current content
  • A respectful, personalised reply to every review
  • Inviting leavers and current employees to leave honest reviews (never pressure)
  • Quarterly theme analysis tied to action
