Application Conversion Rate

In short

Application conversion rate shows what share of people who view the career page or a job ad complete an application: an indicator of career page and ad quality.

[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.

Formula: completed applications ÷ ad or page views. A low rate points to friction such as long forms, poor mobile experience, vague ad copy or mandatory registration. Measured by source (LinkedIn, Instagram, job board, direct), it shows which channel brings qualified traffic.

The career page is the conversion point for investment in career accounts. High traffic with low conversion means the problem is the page and the form, not the content.

Improvement

  • Fewer form fields, CV-only apply, mobile speed
  • Ads written in the EVP voice, with process and timing information
  • Funnel analysis by channel and A/B tests
