Employee Engagement Survey

In short

An employee engagement survey is a comprehensive, usually annual study measuring the drivers of engagement: leadership, development, recognition, communication, wellbeing.

[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.

The survey has 30-60 questions and produces an engagement index plus driver analysis (which factor affects engagement most). Its power lies in what happens afterwards: a survey that is not shared and acted on lowers participation the next year.

Why it matters

The survey is the data base of internal communication and employer brand strategy: it shows how far EVP pillars are lived inside and which segment is at risk.

The communication cycle

  • Before: purpose, confidentiality and "what we did last year"
  • During: participation campaign, manager reminders
  • After: results (company + team), action plan, quarterly progress
