Employer Brand Maturity Model
An employer brand maturity model places a company's employer brand management on a scale from "reactive" to "strategic and measured".
[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.
The model usually has four or five levels: 1) Reactive — communication happens when a role opens; 2) Aware — career accounts exist, no strategy; 3) Defined — EVP and strategy exist, delivery is irregular; 4) Managed — calendar, ownership and KPIs work; 5) Leading — continuous data-driven improvement, advocacy, industry reference.
Why it matters
The maturity level answers "where do we start?". A level-1 company needs EVP work rather than a video series; a level-4 company should prioritise measurement and optimisation.
How it is used
- Determine the current level from audit findings.
- Set 12-month goals for the next level.
- Reassess annually.
