Employee Advocacy
Employee advocacy is employees voluntarily sharing the company's employer brand in their own networks: the most credible employer brand channel.
[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.
Candidates believe employees far more than the company itself. Advocacy programmes make this voluntary storytelling systematic with shareable content, simple guidelines and recognition. Forced sharing backfires; the programme must be built on sincerity.
Why it matters
Employee posts generate many times the reach and engagement of corporate accounts, increase referral hires and provide external validation of the employer brand.
Programme components
- A volunteer advocate community and a short social media guide
- A shareable content library (stories, achievements, events)
- Visibility and recognition for advocates
- Measurement of reach, engagement and referral applications
