Employer Brand Strategy

In short

An employer brand strategy is the plan that brings target audiences, positioning, EVP, key messages, channels and KPIs together in one roadmap.

[DRAFT] Prepared for team approval; this note will be removed once approved.

Strategy turns employer branding from "posting nice content" into a manageable system. It defines whom you target (candidate personas), how you differ (positioning), what you promise (EVP), which messages and channels carry it, and how success is measured.

Why it matters

Communication without strategy starts and ends with campaigns and builds no institutional memory. Strategy prioritises budget, creates a shared language across HR, corporate communication and marketing, and makes results reportable to leadership.

Components

  • Situation analysis and research findings
  • Candidate personas and priority talent segments
  • Positioning and EVP
  • Message architecture and channel plan
  • 12-month roadmap, responsibilities and KPI set
